Im Lucía, Im 30 years old. I’m from Montevideo, Uruguay. I love traveling and discover new places. After making a lot of short trips around different countries, In May 2018, I left my hometown with no return ticket. I lived in New Zealand for one year and a half. And now I’m living in Devonport, Australia, working in a blackberries farm so I can make the days for my working holiday visa extension.
My passion is making chocolate. I love all the stories behind the making of the bars. From the bean at the farm to the final chocolate bar. I used to have my own chocolate factory in Uruguay for 6 years, oh! Chocolateríe (www.Facebook.com/ohchocolaterie). And when I was in NZ, I worked at wellington chocolate factory making amazing chocolate bars.
At my free time I like to read, cook (I’m learning too) and share good moments with friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on Couchsurfing now, because I listen to a podcast in Spotify, alto viaje, and they were sharing their Couchsurfing experiences and I was really tempted to live this kind of traveling and sharing. When I was In Colombia I lived with a family for 1 month in the middle of a cocoa plantation and was one of the most enriched experiences that I have had.

Music, Movies, and Books

House music is my heart. But I love a lot of different things and styles. I like to listen to new music, that tell me a lot of the cultures.
My favorite movie is Romantic Anonymous, a French love story about chocolate.
I am a enthusiastic reader. as a backpacker im learning to use the library so I don’t have to carry too many books. My favorite writer at the moment is murakami and the wind-up bird chronicle the best book of him.
