About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet, share and laugh... and make the most of life.
ABOUT ME
We are Dorothée and Ludovic, a welcoming, sociable and curious couple, living in a village called Saint-Hilaire du Rosier, which is situated not far from Valence and at the foot of Vercors mountains.
As we are both dynamic and nature-lovers, we often spend our free-time outside, getting some fresh air, visiting places or hiking with friends... We also love to travel further around France and Europe, in order to discover beautiful cities and amazing cultures.
We've been living together for more than a year, and we would now like to open our house to travellers and Couchsurfers, and hopefully meet new friends from all around the world!
PHILOSOPHY
"You only live once, but if we do it right, once is enough" - Mae West
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We want to take part in the Couchsurfing community as hosts first, because we have plenty of space in our house and we would like to see it filled by many travelers. And later on, of course, we would also like to take part of it as travelers... :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have already had the chance to meet several amazing people thanks to Couchsurfing: we were hosted in Rome for 4 days, and then we welcomed many people at our place, among which Italian, Brasilian, French, Lituanian, German and English couchsurfers!
Interests
We love many things about life coz we are both very curious... Among them are: travelling, taking photos, good food (and cooking also), visiting places of interest, and some outdoors activities like hiking, skiing, climbing... in the Vercors of course!!

Music, Movies, and Books
We like many kinds of music, books and movies, but it would be too long to write them all here, so let's talk about it when we meet!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dorothée: "Living one year abroad as an Erasmus student has been without a doubt the most amazing experience in my life : one year out of time and reality, living every day as if it was the last and making the most of each experience."
Teach, Learn, Share
We could make travelers discover our beautiful region and the French Alps, as well as its food specialities... And to a certain extend we could teach them how to cook some of the typical French dishes!
In exchange, we would love to learn more about other cultures and languages, and also to know more about their specialities...
In a much more precise field, as beginner photographists, we would much appreciate tips and experiences on the subject!
