About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Dare to dream and become helpful!

ABOUT ME

She is a friendly and kind person although she isn't outgoing and doesn't speak much at first. Reading and traveling are the two most favorite things in her life. Of course, she loves talking about her family and job with you once you get familiar with! She used to be a junior high school teacher in eastern Taiwan, but now she came back to her hometown. she missed and enjoyed the good old days there. Sharing every small but interesting thing in her life with others would be the origin of her happiness.

PHILOSOPHY

Do your best in every aspect!
(It's hard for me to quit.I believe if I work hard, things will change in the end. Though sometimes I still fail, the effort and luck will still exist!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I attended the project in OZ, I learned something about couchsurfing from my classmates. Due to the love and addition of traveling, I want to experience different ways of travelling!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted four girls so far. Two of them are Taiwanese, one is from China and one is from Malaysia. We had talked and shared a lot about our life. I was really glad that I could offer some useful information!

Interests

I love traveling and reading. If I have a longer vacation, I usually will go abroad. Meeting different people and experiencing various culture shock always make me feel refresh! Besides, viewing beautiful scenery and having delicious food are important, too! Reading makes me feel relaxed! Because I could become somebody in books, and had a great adventure! Moreover, I can share many interesting stories or knowledge with my students and friends which makes me feel happier!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love novels! Especially fantasy! I love those amazing and interesting stories! I also enjoy reading other kinds of books, for instance, travelling, martial art, etc. (BUT any stories related to ghosts, paranormal are forbidden in my reading list!!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The 2012 summer vacation(from July to August) I took a short-term program in QUT of Australia. So, I have lived in Brisbane for almost two months. That is a city which is full of joggers and bikers all the time! People in Australia work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They can do sport before they go to work and after work. That is totally different from Taiwan. I was surprise at seeing office ladies or men wearing formal clothes with sneakers at the beginning, but now I knew that is the way they live!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a member of Couchsurfers in Class! Following is the relevant information about the plan!

Couchsurfers in Class is a project that is inspired by Couchsurfing. We connect foreign travelers with rural schools in Taiwan. There are a bunch of schools that would like to invite foreigners to share their stories with the students, and we are a platform with CS-enthusiasts / volunteers to make communication easier. This project is currently cooperating with more than 20 schools all around Taiwan, which covers almost every city that you can name of.

Through our project, students can have a chance to meet people from different countries and to learn from different people. Meanwhile, foreign travelers get to meet local students, experience local school life, maybe stay with a local family and even visit some hidden gems of Taiwan.

Whether you are living, working, traveling or planning to travel in Taiwan, as long as you are willing to share a bit of your life with Taiwanese students, you are more than welcome to contact us!

**Please note that Couchsurfers in Class is a non-profit project based on mutual trust and sharing what we have, which means we charge nothing for schools or travelers that join us.
