ABOUT US
We are a couple for 12 years now, married for 5. We met each other in a cocktail bar where we both worked.

After having travelled from Montevideo, Uruguay to New York, USA from 2010 till 2012 we returned to Amsterdam to study, work and save up for our next big trip.

This time our journey goes East (since sept. 2017) in search of knowledge and experience in permaculture, communal living and self-sufficiency. There is no strict itinerary and no return flight planned. We go with the flow.

Dennis: i love music, listening and playing as well (hapi drum and didgeridoo). music styles: goa trance/psychill, new age, worldmusic, metal/rock and reggae. love going to festivals so i can dance all night and day. i'm organizing a non-commercial festival with some friends. i am trying to learn more about meditation and i enjoy being outside

Luana about Dennis: Well in my eyes he is the most wonderful person on earth! He's always positive and one way or the other he always puts a smile on everybody's face. OOOhhh and last but not least: He plays GREAT music!

Luana: I'm a creative, talkative and easygoing person who's main goal is to enjoy life consciously. My first long travel took 1.5 years and it changed my perspective on life forever. The travel bug was ignited in me. Since then we have traveled in all directions on shorter trips while I was studying Social Sciences focussing on the environmental field. One day after watching a documentary I started a project against food waste called Taste Before You Waste, which over the past 4 years has grown into a full-time occupation. But Asia has been calling for too long so September 2017 we embarked on our next adventure and this time we went East. :) in search of new experiences.

Dennis about Luana: she is the love of my life.. she does so many things with so little effort it amazes me.
she wants to make the world a better place and i know somehow she will!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have been couchsurfing a lot during our trip and we think it's an amazing initiative. Back in Amsterdam and finally having our own place again we have been happy hosts. The coming years we will be surfing couches in Asia to meet different cultures for as long as possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In our opinion life itself is AMAZING!!!

But if you really want to know which parts of our life's are more amazing than others, here's a list:
- Travelling through Siberia by train,
- Hitchhiking from the South tip of Argentina all the way to Brazil.
- Diving with sharks in the Blue Hole in Belize
- Setting up an NGO that just blew up and grew into different cities in the Netherlands and abroad!
