Hi, first of all, thanks for checking out my profile page. I appreciate it a lot!

So my name is Luc, or Luke in English (whatever makes you happy). I am a third year bachelor tourism student, born in Maastricht and raised in Holtum, Susteren and Sittard (all of which you have probably never heard of). Right now I am on an Erasmus exchange in Warsaw, where I do a minor in management at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, or as they say in Poland; Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego. And yes, I am proud of the fact that I learned how to pronounce the school name in Polish!

Overall I am a kind, easygoing and openminded person who strives to have a positive outlook at life. According to some people I have some humor as well, but they are obviously liars.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

The main reason for me to be on couchsurfing is that I want to get to know new and hopefully interesting people. It's of course also a great way to experience some local culture.
That couchsurfing is ''free'' is not of that much interest to me, since I don't attach that much value to money, and I am aware of the fact that couchsurfing means investing more time instead of money. I think the quote "travelling is the only thing that makes you rich" is a good one.

My favorite music is quite a hard question to answer. I like to listen to a lot of different genres, depending on my mood and where I am. I also don't mind it if it's in a language I don't understand (there's for example a chinese song I really like).
If we meet feel free to browse through my phone, or spotify, for a better answer to this question haha.
When it comes to movies I really like ''fantasy'' movies like lord of the rings, harry potter or pirates of the caribbean, but I also like a good comedy, or action movie. Basically almost anything besides horror........
Although I like to read, and read a lot, I don't really read any ''paper books'', besides the news I only read things online on wattpad .

I participated in a 1 month research project in an isolated area in Myanmar. Oh, and right now I'm on an Erasmus exchange, which is also quite amazing.

I was planning to answer this question with "sharing some traditional Dutch food", but I ended up in a really hungry state last week and ate everything..........

What I can do besides doing my best to be good company is helping you with learning English or Dutch. If you are not afraid of my mediocre cooking skills I am also more than happy to be creative in the kitchen!
