About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Thrive.

ABOUT ME

I split my time between the arts and the outdoors. I love to use every opportunity available to widen my horizons. Be it food, people, art, architecture, music or more - I use everything to increase my adventure. I

I love the outdoors, cycling, art, music, and conversation. I'm a backpacker, cylist, jazz musician, art historian/curator and friend.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in individualism and happiness, but more importantly balancing those values with compassion and selflessness.

I believe nature, art and music and relationships are very profound to our happiness and self-actualization. All of these positively impact my life, and I always hope to share that with others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music movies and books in general it is hard to lsit everything out but i'll give a few examples

music: electronic, alternative, jazz, classical, rock, right now im into kandinsky modest mouse john coltraneand so much more. it sounds cliche but i like music that is unique and sounds good.\

books. I read a lot of 20th century american literature, 19th century russian, and post modern fiction. as well as a lot of art book!

movies: i like epic movies, interesting movies, beautiful movies, funny movies, movies that surprise you at the end. it really depends film by film. suspense is good when its not scary. movies that show me new places and cultures are fantastic. ill never grow tired of garden state, the italian job and film noir

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode my bike from Lisbon to Munich over a summer, with a three week long stint in the French, Swiss, Italian and Austrian Alps. It deepened my passion for cycling and opened me up to the potential of adventure in Europe, I was struck by how things could be so different not just from country to country but from town to town.

I work at a sleepaway camp as a counselor in the summers at a camp just outside of Yosemite. We take every child backpacking in the park during their time at camp to expose them to the wonders of the outdoors. To see them marvel at the trees, mountains, lakes and sky reminds me of when I fell in love with nature, and nothing is more inspiring than when they want to come back.

At age 12 I went to my first jazz concert where I saw my to this day idol, Chris Potter rock the tenor saxophone. He is todays John Coltrane, and hearing him play blows my mind every time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I bring with me everywhere I go a strong enthusiasm for life and great sense of spontaneity. I hope that my hosts can look forward to excited conversations, explorations , drinks.

I also keep clean!
