I am Luca, 22, from Germany! Actually I‘m half italian and half german. My mother is from Padua near Venice and my father is from Hannover. ..... My biggest passion is SURFING. When I’m on a wave it feels like my soul is dancing with the ocean and I’m thinking about NOTHING, being totally in the moment. I love it! Once when I was surfing in bocas del toro in Panama, I wiped out on a freaking HOLLOW wave and one fin of my board CUT my foot off barely till the bone. I couldn’t surf for 15 days. Really taff mental challenge to recover while you see this beautiful waves crushing in and you know you can not surf them... Anyway after that break I was even more motivated to surf surf surf :) ....... Another big passion of my are tattoos. I‘ve got nine in total and my favorite one is the lion, which I got tattooed in Brunswick and it is the one you can see on my profile picture. Why the LION? ....... Well my starsign is Leo, cause I was born on the 25th of july. My hometown Brunswick where I was born and raised has a lion in their city coat of arms and my favorite FOOTBALL club has it in their emblem. And I just like lions.. :D All my other tattoos I have got tattooed in New Zealand, where I’ve been for round about 4 month. And this is comes to my next thing I really love.... TRAVELING I traveled after finishing Highschool for 9 month around Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, New Zealand, Morocco and Italy. Currently I’m on my second travel around Central and South America. It started in the mid of November till the mid of march. So far I’ve been to Nicaragua, Costa Rica and currently in Panama. ....... All these travels changed my mind completely. Now I’m so much more GRATEFUL about what I have back home in Germany in terms of living standard, health system and job opportunities. I realized how important it is for me to have a deep and strong relationship to my FAMILY. To make them proud, to make me proud of myself. All in all it changed inside myself. This is the biggest thing why I LOVE traveling. ...... Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Well I‘m on Couchsurfing to meet nice and different minded people, who have the same passion as me....TRAVELING. Once I started traveling I felt that there was something changing inside myself, my frequency changed. And my friends at home had still there old frequency. So yeah I like to get in touch with people how are on the same wavelength as I am :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Actually I don’t watch movies, but I love READING! .... You might know the feeling, when you are reading and be completely into the story, so that you forget everything around you. This is one thing I really really like about reading. .....Another thing is the POWERFUL knowledge you can get out of books. I rather prefer reading a lovely book than watching TV. Side information... I don’t have a TV for 3 years now. My FAVORITE book series is the trilogy of „conversations with god“ from Neale Donald Walsch. Highly recommended :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Well, where should I start?... It was 2017 in Indonesia on an Island called „Lombok“. I had the spontaneous idea to climb in an 3 day HIKE a volcano called „Mount Rinjani“ because everybody who climbed it says that it was fantastic. .... So yes, went to a tour organization and booked it for the next day. .... So far so good. Got a shuttle to the beginning of the track and sleept there in an apartment till the next morning. The next day early in the morning I’ve met my crew for the hike. We were seven people + our Gide and two porters. ... We started the hike two hours to late but everything went fine during the first day, had some nice conversations etc.... The problem was that we arrived in the basecamp to late so it was already dark and it started to rain while we were setting up our tents and preparing FOOD. ..... It rained the whole night and we knew, the next day we had to summit the Rinjani by waking up at 3am before sunrise. ... I slept maybe 1 hour in total. .... So now we come to the exciting part of the story. .... During the second day of hiking I was walking alone for a part of the track, because I just had my own pace and it was still dark....SUDDENLY I had the feeling of losing my memory, I barely couldn’t speak, had the feeling of loosing my balance, I was ultimately tired from the first day of hiking (10h) and slept for only 1 hour. ... I had ALTITUDE SICKNESS... So I decided to sit down, but immediately after I sitting down I felt really cold, so I had to move on but I couldn’t. This was the moment where I sad to myself „I am in an bad bad situation“ .... After 10 minutes of moving on in slow motion without really knowing who I am and where I am, I saw 3 guys of my crew behind me comming up. They gave me such a big MENTAL support. .... Long story short we reached the peak and everything had an good end. ... This was my most fatigued and dangerous experience of my life! ... so far ;) :D

What I can share with you is having a traveling minded person to talk with, I can tell you my volcano story in detail :D ... We can make fantastic italian food together and just have a good time :)
