About Me
Just moved to Siena for work so I don't know much about the area!!
Hello folks,
I'm Luca.
A bit about me:
I was born in northern Italy, but raised in Sardinia by two wonderful humans - mom is from Romania, dad is from north Italy.
I left Italy at about 20 years old to go study biotechnology in Germany. I then went to the states (CA) for a year as a research assistant. Finally, I went to study some more and also work in Dublin, Ireland.
After a few years of that and some extended backpacking time I finally decided to go back to Italy and try my best of luck there.
That's what brings me now to Siena, exploring my home country and trying to see what the hype of mainalnd Italy is all about.
Easy going, sociable, I don't judge, I don't hate but I do have my own opinions and some may be difficult to change once I make them up.
As long as you are a decent human being we'll likely get along well. Always happy to catch-up or help another fellow traveller in any way I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A good friend of mine introduced me to CS when I was in university in Germany.
I find couchsurfing a great platform for travelling or getting to meet people around the world.
I really enjoy hosting people and showing them around my hometown, sharing stories and enjoying beautiful landscapes.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to pretty much all the genres of music. My top 5 Spotify artists this past year were Avenged Sevenfold, Fat Freddy's Drop, Code Orange, Nasty and Alborosie. If you know any of them it means you got a good taste of music too ;)
I also enjoy watching movies and documentaries mainly about science, technology and natural sciences.
Not too into podcasts but when I listen to some it would from Lex Friedman or the Huberman lab.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my best friends invited me and other 3 friends to visit him in Tanzania, his home country. We were 5 friends in total and we decided to spend a whole month on a roadtrip.
We bought a car and drove around the country from south to north to Zanzibar.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm open to every kind of exchange of thoughts and ideas. I'm enjoy learning new things and I expect people to be likewise. I don't really get along with close-minded people that believe on one thing and don't wanna listen to other reasons. Exchanging thoughts doesn't necessarily mean convincing the other part that your idea is the correct one, rather learn and discover what other points of view might look like (with exceptions)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm open to sharing my past experiences and life stories while sharing a meal or a drink. Build memories and connections and extend my social network, make the world my oyster 🦪
