I'm a pretty normal 29 year old Italian guy, who's currently based in Montreal for hi PhD!
What may differentiate me from some of my fellow countrymen, is that I had the luck of traveling a lot and the chance to live in several different countries in the World (in chronological order, Czech Republic, California), which allowed me to get in touch with many different cultures, hopefully making me a better person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I already had the chance to use couchsurfing, but at the time I was travelling around with my ex girlfriend (and using her profile), and had a great time, so I'm looking forward to repeat the experience.

Moreover, I think Couchsurfin is perfect when you're visiting cities you've never been before, since there's no better way to discover a place than through the tips of a local.

Finally, I just moved to an apartment with an extra couch, and I want to experiment a bit more Couchsurfing in order to convince myself to start hosting as well!

Interests

Given the heritage, I love food, both cooking and eating it, any kind of food, with an obvious preference towards grandma's one! I really enjoy spending my time outdoor playing almost any kind of sport.
Trying to cultivate my hidden musical talent by learning how to play the bass and the drum, altought I have to say I'm not the most gifted musician!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Altough I like almost every kind of music, I would say my favorite would be Rock and Metal, with a distinct passion towards progressive (2112 by Rush, In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson, ELP by ELP, Images and Words by Dream Theater are some of my favorite).
Love thriller movies, Usual suspects and Se7en above all, and I'm a crazy fan of sci-fi and fantasy books (guess it goes well with the music I love)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess swimming with dolphins in Hawaii is one of those things I'll never forget.
