About Me
Hello!
My name is Luca Dourado, I'm a Brazilian student living for one semester in Lisbon...
I'm 22 years-old, finishing my Cinema school this year, and I study arts as a "hobby" (and also I'm learning to play the guitar).
I love to cook (and if it's together with someone is even better), to have a drink and chat about any kind of subject, and to travel! =D I'm open minded with anything and I don't get along with prejudices and hateful speeches, this is exactly the opposite of what I am.
Unfortunately in this moment of my life I'm sharing a room and I don't have my own space and apartment =/ But I could surely receive people in Brazil when I'm back!
Hope we'll get along ^^
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'll be travelling some places during this year in Europe and I thought it would be great to be in contact with the local culture :) so I think here is the best place to have this kind of experience!

Music, Movies, and Books
Well, it's kind of difficult to elect these favourite lists, but here are some:
Films - I really like the European and Japanese Cinema from the 60's, films usually associated with the New Wave feel (actually, I'm gonig to finish my school with a paper about a Japanese New Wave director, called Teshigahara! He's brilliant). In Brazil we had a New Wave as well, and they have some really brilliant movies. Nowadays I'm trying to be more kind with American Cinema, and I really really enjoyed the movie Project: Florida!
Music - I literally listen to everything I stumble upon during my life haha. I'm a real hard fan of Rock (mainly the 90's Indie and the 60's Psychedelic), but I also listen to Jazz, Funk, Folk, Electronic, Punk/Post-Punk, New Wave, World Music... And, since I'm from Brazil, I'm really connected with the regional music as well (Samba, Maracatu, but mostly MPB and Tropicália albums).
Books - Unfortunately I don't know literature as well as the other arts, but I really enjoy some books that I came upon during the past years. Franz Kafka, Albert Camus, Sartre and Beckett are among my favourite writers, along with some Brazilians (like Mário de Andrade and Graciliano Ramos).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I didn't do many amazing things in my life :(
But I started learning guitar this year, fighting against the fear of failing, and its been a rewarding experience in many ways!
Teach, Learn, Share
I really really love to share experiences and knowledges with everyone I meet, and I surely can show some really great directors and musicians to people, I want to be an art (or film) school teacher and this is what I like most in my life!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think the best thing I can share with people are really good chats (usually with a beer) about experiences I had in my life, and also be a listener to all of her/his experiences as well (I'm really good at this)!
