About Me

Hey!

My name is Luca (what’s the Hungarian version of Lucia, I know it’s confusing☺️).

I am open-minded and curious about really everything. As I study design culture at my university, I love art, design and other social sciences. I also have had the opportunity to work with wines in one of the Hungarian wine regions, but I still need to learn more about the process of making and tasting more and more from all over the world.🍷

I try to make people's lives happier, so I often do voluntary work. I used to volunteer at a cultural association in southern Italy and it was definitely the best time of my life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live in Budapest, but in the summer I usually move to Ábrahámhegy, a village near Lake Balaton. I would like to show others this little corner of the world, where I feel most at home!

I've had wonderful Couchsurfing experiences in Malta, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland and I love travelling this way because in the past I've met wonderful people who have been kind enough to share a small part of their lives with me. These experiences always restore my faith in people and make me feel alive!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music, movies and books. I don't really have favourite ones, because it's always changing, depending on my mood, my stage of life. Currently my most loved book is 1984 by George Orwell.

I often watch Hungarian movies. ‘We’ make very good art films in my opinion and my best experience was so far seeing Bad Poems. If you have never seen a Hungarian movie before, start with that one nooow!

My favourite music is... This is the hardest part:)) I'm listening Devendra Banhart, The Rolling Stones, Ludovico Einaudi, Cage The Elephant a lot, but it's changing day by day. I go to concerts often, I love live music. Mostly I go to listen Hungarian alternative bands like Csaknekedkislány, Kistehén, Fran Palermo and Deep Glaze, but I like to spend my evenings at Franz Liszt Academy of Music and listening some amazing classical pieces too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchiking in Italy from Rome to Salerno, in Switzerland from Basel to Grindelwald and sleeping under a glacier there.
