About Me

IG: LUCACHACO

THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP
Since there is FREE WIFI at the airport the easiest way to leave the airport is by UBER.
I highly recommend you to install UBER. It is a Taxi Service app which is a lot CHEAPER and SAFER than taking a normal taxi. If you install it with the following link you will get a promo credit for your first trip.
https://www.uber.com/invite/uber_pv
So with that link you could easily go from the airport to San Jose for FREE instead of a 30 or 40 USD taxi ;)
The same way when you are leaving the country you can just take an UBER to get to the AIRPORT no matter the time. They are always available 24/7 and it is HALF the price of a normal taxi. Don't even bother asking hotels or hostal because they will try to sell you shuttles :(

NOW ABOUT ME---->
In 2014 I did and internship in Germany. I lived there for almost one year. It was an amazing experience and was able to participate in Couch Surfing events. Now that I am in San José I want to be part of the Couch Surfing community of Costa Rica.
I work as a software developer and enjoy meeting people and travelers from different backgrounds to share experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After having met many wonderful people in Europe and other parts of the world via Couch Surfing now I am looking forward to meet surfers in Costa Rica. So, just send me message if you need a place to stay or if you want to meet up in the city.

Interests

Techno, deep house, salsa, movies, hiking, adventure.
I like walks, outdoors activities, dancing, entrepreneurial talks and getting to know new people. I also enjoy cooking some times and learning new things. When you send you request please mention your favorite fruit.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like salsa and deep house music but not together ;)
Favorite movie Apocalypto

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the northern lights in Norway and I backpacked all they from Costa Rica up north to Mexico after hosting many couch surfing doing exactly the same route.

Teach, Learn, Share

NEVER, NEVER and NEVER take a normal taxi. They are expensive and they usually take advantage of tourists. They will lie about buses not running, bus drivers on strikes, roads closed, etc. The will make up a lot of fake stories in order to make you go with them. If you take a taxi, am quite sure you will regret it.

If you are tired you can use the technology to move around.
Uber is an App and is a good option and a lot cheaper (yes, way CHEAPER). If you install it with the following link you will get 5000 colones (10 USD) credit for free for your first trip ;)

I created a nice walking tour on Google Maps which you can use to navigate yourself in the city and visit some nice places in my opinion:

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the sofa in the living room so you can crash the night, hot shower, kitchen, goodlocation. You can use the whole house as a flatmate.

For hiking near to San José this place is nice: https://www.facebook.com/SectorPrusia/
