About Me
Using the words of some of my closest friends: I am a pain in the ass. I like discussing a lot. I like doing the right thing because positive karma is a perfectly rational notion that can be defined as the sum of the goodwill of all people on earth. Speaking of being annoying, please check the "my home" section of my profile before requesting to stay with me.
I also believe, as a specie, we are pretty dumb. I do my best to not be too dumb and understand what is happening around me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hosting people and being hosted is a long standing dream of mine. I subscribed in 2010, but never really used the platform. I recently met a group of people that uses it a lot to travel and meet people when they travel so I decided to try using it again. I travelled in Iran using being hosted by Couchsurfers and it was a really striking experience.
Interests
History, especially the history of civilizations. What happens when civilizations meet. What happens when civilizations end.
I love talking to people from other places and playing the game of what's the same and what's different. What do we share together? What aspects of our culture are different?
I love food in all its form. Sharing foreign food with a friend from that foreign country is what I love most doing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked through the Golden Gate of the Theodosian Walls in Istanbul. The homeless do it today, only the Roman emperors were allowed in the past. https://imgur.com/a/0LsW7 I did a sort of reportage some time ago the quality is really bad, but it could be interesting to somebody.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to cook for you. And I am not too bad at it. My speciality abroad is the famous Bolognese meat sauce. I prepared it in China and in Turkey and Iran, so I now assume I can find the ingredients everywhere. It tastes the same with Halal meet.
I like to share time and learn about the new place I am in. If you are willing to share your stories I am super happy to listen. It's the reason I am coming.
