Hello there!!! My name is Lucas, I am 33 yo and married to a beautiful woman called Silvia, and we both live in a 74m2 apartment in São Paulo, Brazil. We have always loved traveling and the thrill of meeting new people and experiencing different cultures is what moves us through the hectic working days! lol! I personally believe that this journey we are in (as living human beeings) is nothing more than a journey of self-discovery and improvement and what could be better to challenge oneself and ones believes than allowing you to experience the different traditions, meals, art, and points of view from different people around the globe?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We decided to enter the community to help travelers that have any interest in meeting one of the most important and huge capitals of the world. We also would like to make use of this tool and find some cozy places and fun people to spend some days on the trips to come (and we hope there will be many)

Interests

I am a Santos Futebol Clube's fan and never miss one of their games on tv and every time we can I like to go to the stadium too. On thrusdays I play soccer with my friends and guests are welcome to participate. I come from a family of professional musicians so it is normal for us to have music around the house, of course we try to keep it at a level that does not bother our neighbors. Every major sports events we like to have people over to watch it with us and we usually buy some pizza and lots of beers. We have a chocolate labrador named Fya and we almost always take one day on the weekend to take her interacting with other dogs or people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love brazilian music, such as samba and pagode, We also love listening to French music such as Zaz or Edith Piaf. Old school singers like Marvin Gaye, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett are on our playlist too. We are very eclectic when it comes to music we could be listening to jazz one night and justin bieber on the next... no joke!. We love movies too... hard saying which one is my favorite... one that came to my mind now is American Beauty (aint Kevin Spacey incredible?) Oh wow... there is also Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind ! I love this one! on books I have to say José Saramago is my favorite author, but nowadays I've been reading a lot from an american author called Paul Auster - TRY HIM!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have gotten married! isnt that amazing enough for you!? lol!!! jk!! I dunno if this can be considered amazing but I did move to the USA to spend a year knowing absolutely nothing about the language (and nowadays im a teacher of English) how crazy is that?

I could teach some cooking (I love making japanese, mexican and some brazilian dishes of course. I would like to learn more about your country's habits and history and share my knowledge of the world as well.

We can offer a quiet and non intrusive guests in your house, but that should you wish, love talking about their country and exchanging experiences with different people from all different places on the face of this Earth.
