About me?
I'm passionate about photography, the climate, exploring new (world) music, meeting new/ different people and adventure.

I enjoy spending most of my free time in the mountains, even though as a Dutch person that does require a lot of train hours🦥. When I’m close to home I enjoy being outside by going for a swim/ slacklining/ running/ cycling/ walking/ surfing or just reading in a park.

I can truly enjoy endlessly philosophising about alternative ways of living, eating and thinking, but can also feel like doing instead of talking. Like playing a (boards/ cards) game or going bouldering together. I also regard watching a movie as a social activity.

As a civil engineering student at the TU Delft I spent a lot of time studying, reading and watching a screen. That might be part of the reason I enjoy philosophising about different lifestyles as I’m looking for the perfect balance between being outside and studying/ working on something that I think can positively influence the world (or at least a part of it… :)).

I like to spent my me time listening and exploring music from all over the globe. And slowly learning to play a bit on guitar. I am very interested in a broad variety of music and therefore enjoy sharing music with others, to look further than the Spotify algorithm:)🦎

What brought and keeps getting me back to Couchsurfing is it enables intriguing connections. I’ve met wonderful people whilst Couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve spent a month in a mountain cottage in Liechtenstein to work on alpine conservation. Working physically as opposed to studying and having very little electricity (4 light bulbs to be exact) and being there with two dear friends was an amazing experience.

I've camped in the garden of several lovely people in Italy. Being absolutely astonished about the hospitality of people we just asked on the streets. Also a weekend hitchiking roundtrip from Den Haag to Paris and back is one of my best travel experiences yet.

Teach, Learn, Share

Even though I enjoy photographing I wouldn't consider myself able of teaching it. However I'm always enthousiastic to go for a photo walk and would love to take your portrait.

Maybe I can familiarise you with the vegan cuisine or we could explore it further together.

I'm interested in learning about everything creative.
