Hi, my name is Lucas Derkian a 23 rock guy, I'm a Brazilian guy who loves to travel a lot, I'm a graphic designer and I have my own company in Brazil, it's not that big but one of my goals is to make it.

At 19 years old I dropped everything and went backpacking through south america, I had barely left my city, I didn't know how to speak spanish but even so I went and it was one of the best things I did in my life, I visited Machu Picchu and I made several friends.

Since then I haven't been able to stop traveling, I've lived in several cities in Brazil, even in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, I lived in São Paulo, I visited Christ the Redeemer and always putting my company forward.

Now I'm on a new adventure in Europe, this is my first time here and I'm loving it, I've visited some countries and I want to visit them all, I'm here on couchsurfing because I think that traveling goes far beyond the places, but it has to do with the people and I want to meet a lot of people here and make them friends for life.

In these adventures I met many people, including several social media influencers, the biggest in Brazil in terms of travel and they encouraged me to make my own content, so I'm always filming and taking pictures in the places I go because my goal is to teach Brazilians how to be a digital nomad like me.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

For me couchsurfing is much more than just a place to request a bed, I'm here for the experience, for the people, to meet new people and new cultures, you know? I've used hangouts a lot and made a lot of cool friends there that I bring with me in life and nothing better than making friends all over the world, after all when at some point we all die and what's left are our experiences.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I live the music, I'm listening to music all the time, I really like it! My favorite style is rock n roll (I think you've noticed), I really like Grunge, like Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, which is actually my favorite band.

In fact, the biggest excuse to come to Europe was the Pearl Jam concert in Paris, which was incredible and I cried a lot, it was very emotional to be there and see them personally remembering everything I went through to be able to be here today, because life in Brazil it's not easy!

Besides grunge I love Guns n Roses, Linkin Park, AC/DC, Lez Zepellin, Pink Floyd, Faith no More, The Beatles, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, Elvis Presley, there are many, trust me.

And not only rock but sometimes I listen to Harry Styles, Michael Jackson, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Bts and so on, but if I start talking here I end up writing a book haha.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

One of the craziest things I went to was going to a totally unknown mountain in the middle of the Andes.

Once I was watching a video on youtube and I saw a guy who went to this mountain, he didn't give much information but up there there was a very beautiful portal and I thought, why not go?

So I was in Peru, I saw that the mountain was close and I went to the city of Ollantaytambo and climbed this mountain, I asked some local people for information and they explained how to get there.

I spent 3 days on the mountain with only 1.5L of water and almost no food, as a result, on the last day I was dehydrated, in the middle of the sun, with the weight of my backpacks and almost died.

But in the end everything worked out and the coolest thing was that I recorded everything and made a video on my youtube channel about this adventure.

It's about the people! All trips, experiences, places, everything, is about the people! I love meeting new people and I'm fascinated to learn about their cultures, how they live, what they do on a daily basis, it's all so cool! For me, a good experience is only complete when you really know someone from the place where you are going, that's why I'm here! I want to learn everyone's culture, language, way of life, tastes, everything! And I hope I can teach you a little about my culture too, Brazilian culture is really cool and you will definitely love it!
