About Me

Hi I'm Lucas!
I'm 23 years old, I live in Germany and I'm studying.
This year I'm planning a huge trip to California from June to September. Within these three months I want to get a Van as a Camper and get around in Cali, but sometimes I will also need a quiet place to sleep, refresh and chill.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my trip to California I want to meet locals, who share their favorite Burger stores, beaches, sights or corners of their city with me.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste of music is difficult to describe in one genre. I love the old stuff like Led Zeppelin, The Stones, Dave Matthews Band and Dire Straits, but when I'm tired of listening to heavy guitars and drums, I switch to some smooth sounds like Mac Miller or funkier stuff like Anderson .Paak or Vulfpeck.

I like the Tarantino movies and other movies that surprise me. I have also been a fan of the early Fast & Furious and I'm well-versed in the Marvel Universe. The recent movie I watched was Hard Powder with Liam Neeson.

I like philosophical books about how we became the people and the society we are today. I'm also interested in History and Theology, so these are also topics, that should appear in a book worthy to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was living in Israel, we went to the north of the sea of Galilee where we camped in the open air. We watched the sun go down and had a wonderful view on the sea. After the light had vanished, we made a campfire and cooked some sweet potatoes. It was so chilled. In the mid of the night started a heavy rainfall and forced us to pack our things an look for a dry space. We finally found a national cultural sight (they have a lot of these at the sea) with a dry corridor where we could sleep on stone benches. The water was ankle-high but for now we were save. The next morning a range came on a quad bike, asking us to stand up and leave the place.
That was a crazy night.
