About Me

Recently finished a degree in Criminology and Sociology at Kent University in England. Moved to Spain with the girlfriend and her family. Currently teaching one-on-one English classes and looking for something more permanent. I consider myself to be quite a friendly open person. I enjoy meeting new people. I've been told I'm a good listener. People have described me as very chilled out and I think this is more or less accurate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always thought the idea of couch-surfing was very interesting but for now I'm here to meet some people because I have recently arrived to a completely new country. I'd like to get into the flow of things here and meet some people so I feel more at home. I can have basic Spanish conversation but I'm far from fluent so it can be difficult and tiresome sometimes. I'd love to be verified or whatever but I don't see how me spending more money on a piece of digital code makes me more trustworthy (just poorer than I already am).

Interests

I like travelling but at the moment that isn't happening much! I love music and could easily get lost in spotify all day discovering new bands and musicians to enjoy. I must admit I'm also a sucker for certain anime series and love most of the Studio Ghibli works. I'm enjoying learning the Spanish language and living in Spanish culture. FOOD. It's mostly all good but I can talk about food for way too long. Hanging out with people is of course a must whether it's indoors or outdoors. Love beaches, mountains, animals and nature in general really.

Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Switchfoot, Snowmine, Innerpartysystem, Low Roar, Daft Punk, Justice, Goldfrapp, Parov Stelar, M83, Jamiroquai, Eisley, LCD Soundsystem (and oh so many more just ask)...

Movies: Gladiator, Fifth Element, The Prestige, Seven, 2001 Space Odyssey, Anchorman 1/2, Short Circuit 1/2, Green Mile (there's a lot but my brains not quite working at the moment)...

Books: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, anything with a sense of humour...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing is a rather loose term! Well, I've moved to a completely different country and culture which was a pretty big step for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to help with the English of anyone, in return you could help me with my Spanish ;). I love sharing music and I'd love to discover some decent Spanish music and bands to listen to. Exchanging life-stories is always fun. Tips and advice for living or teaching in Spain or Cordoba more specifically, always welcome! Muchas gracias.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Like I said above, I could possibly help with improving your English for example. But really, I just offer my friendly self. We can hang out, talk about the ups and downs of life and exchange amusing past happenings. I love people with a sense of humour and I like to think I can share my humour with others.
