About Me

I'm an aspiring filmmaker from Paris, currently studying screenwriting in Montréal. I've been photo-reporting social struggles in France since 2016, and before that, I was editor for a website about Indie Gaming. It's been an eclectic path, but right now i'm mostly trying to focus on writing and poetry.
I'm uncomfortable describing myself, but according to my friends, i'm "regularly quirky yet always nice". Love eating. And cooking. And partying.
I come from a diverse background, my mother being an architect from Iran and my father, formerly designer, being now a mountain guide in the Alps. I'm valuing more and more what they conveyed to me : love of the great outdoors, creative interests, respect for everybody and curiosity for anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, traveling and meeting new people is the best way to get out of my comfort zone (in which i have a minor tendency to become a procrastinating couch potato) and feel very alive. It's really revigorating to cross paths with open-minded and hospitalous people and embrace the unexpected.
I've already done a bit of hitchhiking, and "offline couchsurfing" (basically asking awesome locals i'd just met), and couchsurfing is just another way for me to get that feeling of human solidarity and generosity. I try to give back that generosity everyday, in any way i can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : french rap, and everything that ranges from Buddy Holly to Childish Gambino.

My favorite film directors : Bong Joon-ho, Denis Villeneuve, Damien Chazelle, John Hugues and Miyazaki... the list could go on very much longer, there are just too many amazing movies to watch

Books : Letters to a young poet (Rainer Maria-Rilke), La horde du contrevent (Alain Damasio, french SF author), L'insoutenable légèreté de l'être (Kundera), Making Movies (Sidney Lumet)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting "Press" accreditations for international gaming events at the age of 15.
Hithhiking solo from Paris to Barcelona.
And also french riots. Too many.
