About Me

Brazilian living in London for few months, world backpacker, musician and sometimes street artist.

I'm the kind of traveler who likes long trips. I love to stay in a city until the moment I start to meet known people in the streets.
Even though sometimes it's not possible to stay more than few days in a city I still like to visit many cities in one trip and make it as long as possible.
I love the sensation of arriving the first time in a new place and meet new people from all over the world, different cultures living together and see them dealing with their differences.
To try new experiences is my passion and I always feel like going home when I'm in the road.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:

I love Latin music, especially the brazilian genres such as samba and bossa nova. But as a musician I need to confess that I like almost all musical genres from rap to techno and classic.
I have a special love for local music, so if you show me the music from your region I'll be really happy.

Books:

Science and philosophy such as Albert Camus, Sartre, Hobsbawn and Carl Sagan.
Literature and poetry from all over the world but the classics as well, Fernando Pessoa, Bukowski, George Orwell, Gabriel Garcia Márquez...

Movies:

Old directors like Tarkovsky, Scorcese, Kubrick... French cinema as Godard and Truffaut as well.
I also like the new ones but movies that make you think out of the box, like Inception, Shutter Island, Fight Club and Donnie Darko (it's not that new hahah)
My favorite movie is Enter the void.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Long travels by whole countries or continents like I'm doing now in Europe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you:

- Some vegetarian versions of Brazilian culinary (as long as the ingredients are available) or things I know about cooking.

- Useful expressions in portuguese or any other language that I speak.

- Theoretical concepts of music and practical techniques in singing or guitar.

- Tips and advices about how to travel in a budget in the places I've been before.

- How to fix electric devices and general house maintenance.

- Something about economics or economic history if you are interested.

Anything else that I can do and share I'm willing to teach and this is a double way route, I'll be glad in learning some skills from you or something about your country's culture and history.

Advice: I may ask a lot of questions about your country/city hahaha

What I Can Share with Hosts

My unique perspective of my town, showing why I love my city.
A good meal and a good chat. Depending on my mood in the day I can play for you (or with you haha) if you want.
