I'm Lucas, from Belo Horizonte Brazil.
Despite being a big city, Belo Horizonte is known for having a little countryside charm, which is something that I really like about here.
Maybe because I was born here that's what I like the most about traveling: to be able to get deeply involved with a new place and the experiences that it makes me feel.

I can be a nice guy to spend some time and discover new things... While traveling I feel more opened to get to know new people and for me, that a good thing about traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here mostly because I want to find a way to hear from locals what is like to live in a place. I think that couchsurfing is the best way to get in touch with a place and with people from there. And the great thing about it is that has a sense of 'sharing'. You donate your time, your couch ~~kkk~~ to someone that you barely know expecting that it will provide you a good time or just because you feel that it's the best thing to do

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I think I change my preferences since I become in touch with new music. Right now I'm listening a lot of electronic music: techno, trip hop and some nices influences it gets from soul, funk and R&B. Brazilian music is great too! I also like traditional sounds and instrumental guitar.

MOVIES: Movies that make me feel in contact with something that is real. I kinda don't like movies that tries to show something that is not convincing. Production from today have this atmosphere that I like, so I like directors like Haneke, Almodovar... Short films and documentaries are also very nice! I like a lot.

BOOKS: When I get deeply involved with a book I get sad when I'm about to finish it... Right now I'm reading a lot of Latin American literature and I also want to read more Spanish literature, so I can improve my spanish, rss

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Become in touch with the idea that you can get enjoy the places without other people.

Traveling alone is amazing, and I like to say that the beautiful part of it is that when you are traveling alone and you come into a beach you having nothing else to do that listen to the waves.

I'm really excited about the idea of traveling alone for a long time, but I think it's only because I'm too young....
