About Me

I graduated in oceanography in 2017 and took a year off to improve my sailing abilities crewing in different vessel boats and also to become a Dive Master.

I worked during several years with ornamental aquaculture for a company in Sao Paulo, Brazil. First as Breeding Supervisor and then as Sales Manager. Quite my job in January this year to follow my dreams.

My goals are to buy my own sailboat and use it to work and live. If I can find some way to work with ocean conservation would be perfect. I'm an ocean lover and my job is to protect them. And one day I want to do an Around the World Trip by sailing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be in Florida for 3 weeks to do some maritime courses and to see my girlfriend.

She lives in Sarasota but I need to stay for a week in Fort Lauderdale to do some courses to be able to work in the yacht industry. Those courses are really expensive so couchsurf will be a good way to not spend more money that I will already do.

Interests

Visit different places with the local view is something really kind. Instead of just going to the touristic places, meeting local people and knowing your culture, point of views and habits are one of the most interesting stuffs.
And it's always good when you go somewhere with some splendid landscapes, and even better when you can go surfing or snorkeling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen all kind of musics, I'm really eclectic, but my favourite ones are Surf Music, Reggae, Forró (brazilian music) and Samba.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed the Equator line by sailing. Have sailed more than 2000 miles from Brazil to the Caribbean.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach and learn languages and culture are always good, like some dishes from your own place.
I'm capable to teach aquaponics techniques, aquariums, sailing and a lot of things about what happens in the ocean.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, Brazil, Costa Rica, Grenada, Indonesia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Venezuela
