About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I started traveling without a specific geograpic goal in August 2013. My Mission is to find a place to settle down and live peacefully.
How I picture my ideal place:
A open minded but small community from 30-150 people that try to not be dependent on centralized systems (Food, electricity, Water) but I still don't want to isolate myself from the rest of the world rather then using the internet as a medium of exchange and communication to share each others knowledge so each node in the commnunty network is resilient and sustainable in order to be able to live in harmony with nature.

I already learned a lot from very smart and aware people pioneering in this direction and I would be happy to share it with you.

*** I now settled down in this community in Colombia

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the people that wonder why I wander:

Within the past months I’ve been robbed, had a severe foot infection and a chronic digestion problem. My feet are dry, cracked, split open and full of dirt that I can’t soak out. My clothes are thin, dirty, torn and reduced to no more than 10 items. On my back, I carry a laptop that won’t turn on and a hammock that have seen better days. I could write a book on natural remedies for all kinds of conditions. I’m in my young thirties, have no income and don’t know where I’m going to go once the visa runs out of the country I'm currently staying in and just began to question my lifestyle.

Don’t get me wrong—I’m ridiculously grateful for all that I have and for all that I’ve experienced. However, this footpath of sunshine that I’ve been following for the past few years is sometimes an icy, unpaved mountain road. Sometimes I feel exhausted, vulnerable, lonely as hell and using all of my strength not to slip off and give up on the dreams that got me here in the first place.

I miss everyone, everywhere and everything all of the time.

Constantly saying “bye for now” breaks my heart. I value relationships more than you’ll ever know. I’m constantly thinking about all the wonderful beings who have contributed joy to my life. I send my friends positive thoughts on a regular basis. I assume that they can feel and receive my energy. When they write, it brightens my day. When they don’t for years at a time, I wonder if my friendships are stories that I’ve invented.

Yes, I know that it would be easier to move to a country that I can reside in indefinitely, to save a bit of money, to establish some sort of home base and to be a part of society, but I can’t imagine living in the monochromic patterns anymore. I rather expose myself to the chaos of complete uncertainty to preoccupy me from dealing with the universe’s larger schemes.

I truly believe that life is about joy, laughter, sharing, harmony and playfulness and, for that, I will circle the entire world until I find it in a harmonic form —or, throughout my process, create a situation that resonates it truthfully .

And, although it feels like it at times, I don’t walk alone.

We may be few and far between, but the globe is pocketed by people who stretch conceptions of work and home—who travel without end, who volunteer for comfort and food, who build and co-create, who live and cook and share with strangers, who give when they have little and graciously take when they have nothing, who sing in the streets and learn circus tricks to carry on and who are completely vulnerable to the whims and generosity of others.

Sometimes I'm lucky enough to live with these people side by side. Learning how easy it actually is and growing together to something bigger then the sum of the individuals, conforming me about this loving way of life.

I think I can relate to the people that still have doubts because I used to have them to a while ago too. But if deep inside of you is a longing for a more meaningful purpose in life, take the courage to make a leap of faith and reach out. If you believe it yet or not, there are people out there that will catch you. And soon enough you will catch others until we are a unity again. The most divine feeling to be experienced.

Thank you for your attention, It means a lot to me.

Love,
A soul that wanders

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in many different Communities around the world. All with beautiful people that I love and miss. They all share the common goal to live peacefully and closely connected with nature. Now I dont own a static home anymore. I live mostly a nomad life going through all kinds of communities trying to help them becoming more self sufficient and learning from their experience to distribute that knowledge further

Teach, Learn, Share

Im good with computers and gladly help with any problems I can solve. I can also guide meditations and do different types of massages like Thai, Nordic or traditional.
