About Me

Hey there!

I am a 23 years old Brazilian student, currently living in Ponta Grossa. I'm a full time student who have also just started a part-time job as an English teacher. I'm very keen on sports in general; but more often I play volleyball and do fitness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Rather than only visiting the touristic points, travelling is way further than uploading that picture on the social media. I see travel as an adventuring experience. And couch surf can make it easier.

Meeting new people, locals or travelers, getting a little bit more inside into a new culture, sometimes even getting lost (either geographically or inside your own thoughts), travelling is about getting out of the comfort zone. I know it does sound cliche. But that's what I believe in.

And I wouldn't be dishonest. Couch surf is a rather cost-benefit way to find and accommodation in a kind of experience that is great for both sides!

Interests

Okay, there we go:

My biggest interest is in everything. I know that sounds weired, but I'm indeed quite curious. And that means I never know on what I'm interested, since almost everything seems to attract my attention. One can say I can have a good conversation on many different topics.

But of course there are some things that occupy my time the most:

- Volleyball: I've played it since I was around 10 years old. School and University competition level.
- Sports in general: Even though I was only able to reach a decent level at volleyball, I love many sports. In fact, I'd tried a lot of them throughout my life: I played football (soccer), handball, basketball, swimming and athleticism. And I still read and follow many different sports competitions.
- Studying: I like studying. One can say I have decent marks. Logistics and supply chain management currently attracts my attention the most.
- Languages: Oh boy! It can goes very fast when I'm keen on it. I squally have a lot of fun studying different languages.
- Cooking: although this busy life keeps me from cooking often, there's no such a chance I would lose of having friends over for dinner.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to literally everything. There's no band or singer that I like or dislike all songs. One can find anything on my playlist. Currently, I've been listening to many Dutch songs, since I've been studying Dutch.

When it comes to movies and books I'm pretty much in love with the historic ones. But I can watch everything.

Same goes for books. I'm fucking flexible, I think!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So hard to just point something out of nowhere. I hope it might come up through a good conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live alone in a student city. Although I do live in a rather small 2-room flat, I could be of help for someone staying for a short time. You can just come and sleep in my kitchen-living-room in a poof-sofa-bed. You can use everything here. But I ask you to buy your own food, excepting when we are having a dinner, and so on. If you smoke, it is no big deal! You still welcome as long as you smoke outside.

I can also meet up in the weekends; or even during the week, if we schedule it in advance. Besides, I'm a local. It means I'm also up to help you with any other arrangements and information, in general.
