I'm an economics student in Brazil, looking for new experiences and learning opportunities about new places and their people and cultures. I love to travel and explore new locations, specially locations that are not usually visited. When travelling I look for knowing about the place I'm in by living like and talking to locals. I am more interested in the day-to-day life and places that their inhabitants go then tourist-saturated locations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My interest in couchsurfing came from the curiosity to know the places from their locals perspective and the sharing of experiences it allows. The financial factor also has it's importance, since a cheaper accommodation allows me to do more and get to know more places.

Interests

I'm interested in music, travelling, photography, exploring nature and urban environments, specially historical sites. I also love to try new things, food and drinks. I also love music festivals and live concerts.

Music, Movies, and Books

In Music I like indie and alternative rock, bands like Coldplay, The Killers, Of Monsters and Men, Arcade Fire and others.
My favorite movies are the ones that have surprising ends and plot twists, movies that have something to say and make you think.
My favorite books right know are from Stephen King, but in my childhood I love the Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I did was see a G4 Severe-Storm Aurora Borealis display in the Finnish Lapland. We were lucky to decide to extend our trip to get to see this rare event and it was absolutely mind blowing. The sky was completely lit up and the auroras danced fast above us with lots of colors for the whole night, unlike any other Aurora display I had seen before.
