About Me
PLEASE, READ BEFORE ASKING FOR A HOST:
This disclaimer is based on previous experiences I've had with guests in Couchsurfing. Whilst most of the people are fine and it's great to have them at home, there's always somebody who doesn't think about Couchsurfing the same way as I do, and so I want to clarify what to expect from me and what do I expect from surfers. If you agree, everything's going to be fine :).
Couchsurfing is a great platform to know a lot of travellers from around the world and a great way of travelling. Just bear in mind that THIS IS NOT AIRBNB. You have to understand that I have a life plan and I cannot always spend with you all the time that I'd like, and that you have to adapt to my schedule for the rendezvous and sleeping time. I'm very flexible with host as a general rule, however, I cannot always afford that flexibility. If you have this in mind, everything will be fine.
Besides, I don't like unjustified changes of plans. You must acknowledge that when I confirm a stay, I allocate some of my time and plan accordingly. So if you think you're not going to stick to the plan you asked for, please don't apply for a couch. You must also acknowledge that in some rare cases, I might have to change my plans last minute, although I never did it and I don't like to do it.
After this disclaimer, let's go for the real "About Me"!
I am a composer and piano player, but when I'm not working, I like to travel, know people from the countries I visit, drink a beer with them, have a nice talk. When I visit a city I like to do things as I was living there, and of course, attend couchsurfers meetings :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing mainly to host people at my place, which is something I like to do from time to time. So far, having people at home has been a great way to make friend around the globe. I like people to feel like at home and to have the full experience of enjoying the city and not being a stranger.
I think that travelling is the most similar to living in a parallel universe, when you leave your home problems aside and you take full advantage of enjoying the good things of life. Being in that parallel reality, I feel that sharing a space with people who will share some of their time and experiences with you is the way to have something new to learn you wouldn't do in your daily routine.
Interests
As a musician, of course, I like music, and also other arts. But I'm also quite geek about technology.
I also like to do open doors activities, specially hiking, and also (for those who now what it is) geocaching ;-) (which I love to do when I travelling, to discover amazing places)
Finally, I also really like learning languages! Even if I don't have that many time to learn as many as I would like, I enjoy every word I learn.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a jazz lover, but I also listen to a quite range of music. If I have to say some of various genres, I would say Pat Metheny, Queen and Beethoven.
If I have to choose a film, I think I would say "The Big Lebowsky", but I also love good old movies and independent cinema. I prefer to leave my filmaffinity profile for that matter

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I composed and had played an orchestra piece! One of the moments in my music studies when I've learnt the most.
Teach, Learn, Share
Languages! I like to learn them, and I like to teach the ones that I speak.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like the "social way" of travelling. I always bring with me something from home (tangible or not) and like to bring some home too.
Besides, usually a bottle of coffee liquor or a Galician wine drops by ;-)
