I'm on a short trip through the Midwest and East coast visiting some major cities (Chicago --> Detroit --> Pittsburgh --> DC --> Philadelphia --> NYC --> Boston --> Burlington). I'm from a small town in California and I want to get a sense of urban life beyond the West coast. I like to wander and look at buildings and people, eat food, drink beer or wine, and explore hidden places. I love conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Places are as good as the people who live there, and it's too easy to have only a superficial experience of a local culture. I want to enjoy my time traveling in the company of locals and explore their homes from their perspective.
