About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm Lucas, I'm 24 years old and I'm an International Relations' student in Brazil, living in the capital (Brasília) and working with government affairs. But please, don't take me so seriously, hahaha I'm totally an open minded, funny and communicative person, and the reason I'm being part of CS community it's because I like to make new friends, heard about their stories and learn about their cultures and traditions. And after all, I believe that's what CS is about: connecting people and showing that, even we have different cultures, accents, and different ways to see the world, we still have a lot in common - the habit for ENJOYING LIFE!

PHILOSOPHY

I consider myself some kind of a "liberal person" - in ways that I try to respect all opinions different from my own. I truly believe that we can always learn something from people with another perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been going to some CS meetings and I try to contribute to couchsurfing experience hosting and showing details of my city, and also telling everything you want to know about the brazilian culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first surfing experience was in Netherlands in june 2014. Then when I moved to Canada in 2016, I was not able to host anyone, but here in Brazil I'll try to do my best for couchsurfing community :)

Interests

Music, movies, traveling, literature, sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Seriously, if you have to choose a topic to start a conversation with me, you can always pick MUSIC: I'm always interested in discovering new artists and rhythms. But if I had to say, I'd say that these are some of my favorites artists: Johnny Cash, AC/DC, The Ramones, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Misfits, Noah and the Whale, Johnny Flynn, Manu Chao, SOJA, Social Distortion, The Beatles, NOFX, Oasis, Black Sabbath, Metallica, João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Daft Punk

Tv series: How I met your mother, The Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, La Casa de Papel, Dexter, Les revivants, Skins.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When me and my girlfriend were visiting the Chapada dos Veadeiros in Goiás (Brazil), and we decided to enter the jungle through a few small trails made by locals. It was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some words in portuguese if you want, or something about brazilian culture you're interested in. And even I'm sure I'm not the best dancer, I could teach you how to "samba" xD

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can't offer you much right now - once I still don't own an apartment and I live with 3 other brazilian colleagues. But I have a sofa bed in the living room and it's pretty much comfortable and clean. Besides that, I'm always available to show you some details about the city, and I can also share you all my life experiences living in Brazil, in Canada and France :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
