ABOUT ME

Still discovering so many things about myself. Constantly in the process of change... Constantly looking for new experiences that make me grow and appreciate life even more. Currently on a mission to fill my life with doing what I love and what nourishes my soul.

PHILOSOPHY

"Be the change you want to see" - this is the motto that I try to live. How can I expect anybody or anything to change if I am not ready to be the radiant example of that change? So, I'm starting from myself... at least, I try to:)
and... one quote I liked a lot lately: "Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Did some couchsurfing in India... and lots of spontaneous coachsurfing in Europe within an international student association AEGEE.

Interests

Travelling to culturally distant places, talking till morning hours with fascinating people who love life and live it the way they want, trying to catch precious moments on photos, making movies, lying on the grass, windsurfing, surfing (just discovered it!), skiing, dancing (a lot!!), meeting over a good coffee with a good friend, playing board games, doing voluntary work, being a trainer, art therapy, theatre, drama, painting on glass, doing puzzles in autumn, picking mushrooms, cooking (and eating well;), learning new languages, singing loud while driving a car, hiking in the mountains, getting inspired by other people, performing, meditating, dreaming... daydreaming as well! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - just as I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, I find something interesting in all types of music - from classical pieces to soul to jazz to R'n'B to the 60's to heavy metal to pop... and the list goes on. Whatever suits my mood! Have been listening a lot to Adele lately.
If I am learning a new language I like to be surrounded by the sounds of it, so I listen a lot to the music in original language and watch the movies - I found that, beside giving a peek into foreign culture it effortlessly improves my language skills:)
Movies and books... Lately seen and read: "Puzzle", "Midnight in Paris" and "Coaching - the restauration of personality".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?! Impossible!
White-water rafting on the Ganga river and swimming in it after having capsized down.. Thrilling & unforgettable!
Taking Vipassana meditation course (10 days in absolute silence, no speaking to others, no reading, no listening to music, no phones, no writing, nothing... just meditating)
Travel to India in general.
Waterskiing for the first time...can't forget how hard it was to hit the water that became as hard as concrete!

And lately... surfing. Can't describe the feeling of finally managing to stand on the board and sliding on the wave!
