About Me
I come from a bicultural family, and I grew up along the U.S. - Mexico border in the cities of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and Nogales, Arizona, USA. Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship awardee, I will be living and working in Hamburg, Germany throughout the 2015-2016 academic year. I plan to travel significantly throughout that time. Couchsurfing would provide a way to do this in a budget-conscious way while also allowing me to easily get to know new people from all over the world!
*For the beginning of my stay in Hamburg, I will be living in a room in a house that belongs to someone else, and I was told specifically that I cannot host couch surfers when I specifically asked :( I am looking to move to a more comfortable, freer place once I am more established. Then, I will be sure to host people!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I can listen to mostly anything, from opera to rap, from metal to pop to electronic to jazz. The only music I'm not crazy about is country.
Movies: Little Miss Sunshine, The Mission, Lolita, The Godfather, Due Date, Gladiator, Troy, Stepbrothers
, Along Came Polly
Books: 1984, Lolita, A Song of Ice and Fire, Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus, the DaVinci Code
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a Consular Affairs intern for the United States Department of State at United States Embassy Madrid, Spain throughout the summer of 2014.
Teach, Learn, Share
I was a tutor to intermediate level Spanish students at the University of South Dakota and I will be working as an English Teaching Assistant in Hamburg, Germany throughout the 2015-2016 academic year. So, if you're interested in practicing either (or both) of those languages with me, that's absolutely fantastic! Since I am learning German now, it would be great to meet people who could help me with that. I am also really into getting the local point of view of places, and not simply being a tourist! I like to try new foods, drinks, and customs in general!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a bright and lively sense of humor and I seem to always create interesting, slightly weird inside jokes with people I meet. I am also pretty chill and open-minded!
