Holaaaaaaaaa!! I'm Lucía, 19 y/o from Barcelona. I was born in the old town of my city and have lived there for the last 6 years (before my mum and I lived in a 50 people village, where Dalí bought a castle for his lover Gala -but she wouldn't let him inside without permission)

Barcelona's becoming a strange place to be. I work at my dads teahouse, it's a beautiful job where I learn so much but at one point I started feeling I was getting too attached to it and could easily forget about my own ideas. In one word, confusion

So
Laia and I decided to leave. We have a strong connection, very close visions of the world, its systems, its people and places. We share the need to go and discover all of this and understand ourselves far from the routine we both were stuck into

I really find it hard to write about myself mmmm
I used to watch three movies a day, read all the time, write about what I saw, but this last times it'd become so hard for me to keep my mind focused. The one activity I haven't quit is wandering around observing people. I'm a very pshycological person and I get all this crazy ideas out of street scenes. One day I hope to use this passion to film. My two childhood friends and I have always done absurd videos and short films (check 'El pedófilo' by Ansiedad al Azar on Vimeo) but I think we need to get more serious about it, and will.
I got back to photography thanks to a little digital camera I always carry with me. And I forgot about dancing! I'm not good at it but I'm so energic and it helps me so. Laia's quite a performer and I use to shoot our nights out, the costumes, dances and reactions.
Above everything to me there's education. I want to recover the enthusiasm and strenght that defined me during my childhood and guide myself to anti-authoritarian pedagogies.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

As I wrote before I'm so interested in knowing people. Having a 15 min relationship with someone seems so big to me. As a little girl I almost wouldn't hang around with kids my age so it's always been easier to me connecting with older people. This thing about me can be great or a shitty limitation. Couchsurfing is a beautiful opportunity to know people in a very special way. It's so admiring to share the intimacy of your home to someone. My experience here has given me the chance to discover the reality of the places I were in a way I couldn't have possibily imagined. To me it means to slowly get rid of my insecurites, or some of them, thanks to its people.
