About Me

Above all I'm an artist , but I also love hiking in the mountains, staring at the sea, going to the movies, dancing singing. I am a very warm and sociable person, slightly cooky perhaps, who enjoys good ( serious or silly) conversation. Always interested in what others are doing, planning, creating, I enjoy discovering new different perspectives on life.
Although I am new on Couchsurfing I'm very eager to host and be hosted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love cultural exchanges. Learning from new people. I am also traveling alone for the first time and thought this is a good way to truly meet and connect with new people and share experiences and hopefully I can welcome people in my home ( Antwerp or Split) some day too.
I AM NOT ON COUCHSURFING FOR DATING!

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds of music from classical, jazz and avant-garde to punk, folk and electro.
Again very diverse. I read a lot of art books of course, but one of my favorite books is ‘Women who run with wolves’ by Clarissa Pinkola Estes which is a Jungian interpretation of the feminine in worldwide fairy tales , but I also enjeyed reading Charles Bukowski which is quite the opposite or Orwells' '1984' which is but yet another side of me.
I love more mainstream movies like Kubrick and Tarantino, but also more avant-garde stuff like Jodorowsky, Lynch or Tarkovsky. Am a definite sci-fi fan and adore everything Werner Herzog ever made as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left my life as I knew it ( husband, house, financial security...)and went back to study art!

Teach, Learn, Share

The most important thing I can teach is this simple saying "If you see a cliff, jump off it." meaning to embrace the unknown, embrace your fears and doubts and jump into the abyss.

I love to learn and strongly believe that everybody can teach you something.

I see couchsurfing as a way to share experiences, knowledge and good company.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter, stories, art, food and drink! Tell me where the store is and I will buy some food and maybe we can cook together or show me your favorite cafe so I can buy you a drink!

Austria, Croatia, Cuba, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain, United States
