I like a lot to travel hitch-hiking (when I have time off course) because it is easier to meet local people to soak up the in their culture, going to see museums and cathedrals seems to me a bit cold when it comes to knowing a new culture. I like everything related with sharing, thats why I very much agree with initiatives like Couchsurfing.
