Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in a small town in Argentina, but with a curious heart to learn about the world. I found learning languages as a way of getting to know other cultures, and education as the first tool to change reality, so I became a teacher of English. I am passionate with breaking stereotypes and seeing beyond the surface. Now that I am working as a Spanish Language Teaching Assistant in the US under the Fulbright Program, I want to travel and learn from all the variety of cultures of every corner of this immense country, and also share mine!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a Fulbrighter, I love meeting people and I love travelling. By meeting people from different cultures you learn about others and yourself, you learn about appreciation and respect and become a richer person. I want to share my culture with others and learn from them, and I think the best way of doing it is by spending time and talking to locals everywhere you go. I love drinking mate, an Argentinian infusion and our national drink, and I would love to share it with other people as it is a symbol of friendship and union for me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love nature and my hobbies are riding my bike on the riverside, or simply lying on the floor with my cats while enjoying a good book. I love literature from around the world. That´s one of the reasons why I want to learn new languages: literature at its best is enjoyed in the mother tongue of the writer, that´s where they express their deepest feelings. I also love discovering new music genres and authors. My favourite music ranges from jazz and blues to Argentinian rock: it all depends on the performer. And I LOVE long conversations about literature, countries, costumes, art and music!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Becoming a teacher, that´s incredible! Being a teacher is a difficult and rewarding task . Knowing that you have the opportunity and the responsibility of opening the doors to the world to these beautiful people is a blessing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to share mate with you! Mate is an Argentinian drink, an infusion similar to a kind of tea, but with a peculiar characteristic: you drink the water with herbs from a special straw, and you share it. Sharing is everything. It symbolises a lot for us, but mostly, it symbolises friendship, openness and talk. I love having long conversations while sharing a mate. It´s a vehicle to create frienships.
I love talking about good books and music. I have read literature from many countries around the world and I would love to continue doing so. Let´s have a mate and a conversation and share recommendations of good novels and authors!
What I Can Share with Hosts
