About Me
I like to think that I am a young adult trying to figure out what life is about to me. I like to talk, I enjoy having conversations about anything that is not shallow. I have an interest in almost anything, I would enjoy talking about going to mars or the sunset from yesterday and probably find them both interesting and engaging. I think we are all very intricate stories waiting to be told. Maybe thats my most distinctive trace, I love stories. Cute, messy, full of action, introspective... give me any of them. They all have huge value.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The main purpose is to meet local people, to me that is the most interesting thing that you can do while traveling. I am quite new to this, last time I was traveling I did stay on a couch but I did not had a profile at the time. I had a friend with me who dealt with website part and before that I was unaware of how this works, sadly.
Interests
Stories, I'd love to tell you mine and hear yours. This also makes me very interested in Books, Movies, tv series but most important of all I love spoken word poetry.
I'm very passionate about food, I have some formal education in cooking - went to chef school for 2 years - but do not think that I'm a picky eater, most of the times the most genuine and delicious food is homemade.
I also enjoy DIY projects, I brew my own beer and mead. Last year me and a friend built our own portable smokehouse.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music depends a lot on how I'm feeling at that time and I listen to a lot of different styles. From the top of my head: Blue Sky Black Death, Badbadnotgood, Lullatone, Criolo, Emicida, Casuarina, Stromae, Watsky, Alt-j, Arctic Monkeys, OK GO, Ben Caplan, Laura Marling, Lianne LaHavas.
Movies, huh, this is starting to get big... I love everything that Satoshi Kon and Hayao Miyazaki did, specially Paprika and Tonari no Totoro. City of God, Birdman, The Revenant, Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Synecdoche, New York, Wolf Children, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End, 2001 and a lot more.
Books: The Stranger, Brave New World, The Aleph, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Love in the Time of Cholera, Lolita, Neuromancer, Factotum, The Catcher in the Rye, Moby Dick...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 3 months working as a volunteer in organic farms in Norway.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some recipes or just useful cooking stuff.
I would love to tell you about my language and learn about yours, I wish I could speak at least two or three more languages, long way to go haha
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking for different people is something that I enjoy, seeing someone taste my food for the first time and smile is one of the most rewarding feelings I have experienced, I usually travel with some stuff from Brazil to share aswell.
Outside from that I can give you crude honest conversation about my culture, my experiences, my dreams... myself.
