About Me

My name is Luciano Ignacio Maurizi, I'm 22 years old and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I was born on April 6th, 1996.
I'm a junior at Universidad de Morón in Morón, Buenos Aires. I'm pursuing a degree in Tourism.
From August 2014 to July 2015 I was a Rotary Exchange Student in Powell, Wyoming, where I attended Powell High School as a Senior. During my time in there, I played varsity football and soccer, and got an Academic Letter.
During the winter season of 16/17, I worked as a food runner at Coleman Brook Tavern in Vermont, USA.
As of 2018, I spent a semester abroad in Barcelona as part of an exchange for college. I attended Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona.

While in Argentina, I live at home with my dad (Pablo, 45), mom (Natalia, 44) and little brothers Gonzalo (15) and Jerónimo (13).

I also work downtown at a Tourism Company called Eurotur!

I enjoy sports (especially soccer, basketball, football and table tennis), and I'm also really interested in geography, maps, and global culture. I could go on and on talking about cities, capitals, countries and regions. I like to think I have a lot to share regarding those topics and I'm also open to acquire new knowledge by sharing moments with people from all over!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I'm taking my first steps in this great activity of traveling the world as a wanderer, rather than as a tourist (14/15 Rotary Exchange, 16/17 Work and Travel Program, and 2018 College semester abroad). I intend to travel and meet people for a long time, and hope to be able to achieve that. I still talk to my friends from exchange and I think the best way to get to know a place is to go there and talk to the locals.
I would love to receive people at my house (my family is a host for Rotary Exchange Students who go to Argentina) and show them around Buenos Aires.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think living in a small town in Wyoming for a year at age 18 and away from everything I knew is probably the craziest thing I've done.
It was the first step of a journey that I hope lasts for a long time, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to chat and I laugh a lot. I always try to carry good energy to the places I go.
I definitely wouldn't mind helping with home tasks, such as cooking. Also, I will always clean up after myself.
I'm very organized so your place will look exactly the same by the time I leave.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
