About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get to know interesting people from different walks of life, cultures, countries.

ABOUT ME

I'm a freelance translator currently working with both technical and literature translations. I've been living in Iceland for a while and would love to show you around in Reykjavík and perhaps hang out with you in daytrips or even longer trips around the country (translation schedule allowing, indeed). Besides that, I have a deep interest for all things Nordic, after short periods living both in Oslo and Stockholm. Don't know what to add but if you want to check my other interests please feel free to check my Facebook timeline.

PHILOSOPHY

Traduco ergo sum.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nordic movies, series, and books. Arvingerne, Bron | Broen (and its French-British remake The Tunnel, Forbrydelsen, and Borgen are among my favourites. Tomas Transtromer's poetry too. In Icelandic, I really enjoy Sjon's novels, having myself translated two of them recently (From the Mouth of the Whale and The Blue Fox). Lately I've been reading and translating a lot of Icelandic and Scandinavian poetry too, poetry scene is very vibrant in Reykjavik right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking in Cotopaxi volcano.
