Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of sharing my place with nice people, who want to get to know my town or country and to have the possibility to stay at a local's home and to learn about the life at that place.

And because I like travelling by bike, I would also like to host other cyclists, who come to visit Hamburg. :-)

Interests

I've got two big passions in my life.
The first one is music, which meanwhile has become my daily work. I love to sing and to play the piano - no matter if it is rockpop or classical music (which however is my profession).
The other one is doing sports. I prefer running and cycling, because to me it is the best combination of challenge yourself and experience nature. Since a few years I also like doing yoga a lot.
And if I sometimes want to do something different from that, I take my camera and go outside, looking for some nice shots. ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music... that's difficult to sum up.
I like artists like Genesis, Police, P!nk, Lucio Dalla, ABBA, Herbert Grönemeyer or Shakira as well as composers like Bach, Brahms, Mozart, Britten, Puccini or Pärt. And of course some nice pieces in-between, too.

I admit that I am not that much into movies and books (but always interested to get to know new stuff).
However, there are some stories, which I like very much like "Die Mitte der Welt", "Ödipussi" or "Lieben Sie Brahms?".

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always open and interested to learn new things. So if there is something you want to teach me, feel free. I'm also interested in learning about local specialities, like the spoken slang for example.

Maybe I can teach you a bit classical singing, playing the piano or the cello. And if you are interested we can do yoga together.
And surely I like to tell you some nice spots in the neighbourhood you can visit. If I have time enough, I can show you around as well. :)
