Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I have been participating on couchsurfing since 2008 and I really enjoy the astonishing hospitality and spontaneous encounters with new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had several couchsurfing experiences the past years in Costa Rica, Greece, Italy, Spain. I hosted a number of guests when i lived in a student flat in Amsterdam. All of these encounters were very different from each other and were all positive and often refreshing.

Intereses

I am interested in anthropology, migration issues and human rights issues in conflict areas. I recently did research on the arrival and reception of unaccompanied minors in Italy and on human rights violations in Eritrea.

Also I play violin, enjoy doing yoga and pilates and I love watching documentaries. A recent documentary which amazed me was 'the land of the englightened' by Pieter-Jan de Pue on the children living in the war-torn Afghan valleys.

Currently I am volunteering in Bologna for the Italian medical NGO 'Emergency'. Emergency performs the badly needed medical assistance including surgical operation on victims of war violence and assist thousands of patients in the pedriatic hospitals and rehabilitation centers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Central African Republic and Sierra Leone and assist in saving boat migrants on the Mediterranean and cure recently arrived migrants in the Sicilian ports and seasonal workers in different Italian regions.
