I am a Spanish girl living, working and studying in Barcelona. I am currently doing my phd on Northamerican literature, about travel and roadtrips, so it's really related to the couchsurfing experience. Besides, I work as an English teacher both to kids and adults. It's hard to describe oneself but my guess is that I am an easy-going, calm and relaxed person, who loves listening and hearing stories. I'm interested in literature, cinema, music and art, also travelling, cooking, writing...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered Couchsurfing during my Erasmus year in Germany. I travelled a lot and I was hosted in many different places: Germany, Belgium, Poland, Hungary... Back in Spain I had the opportunity to host some people and it was an amazing experience. There is so much to learn and to share!

Cinema passionate: Wim Wenders (the first ones), Jim Jarmusch, Pasolini, Cassavetes, Roman Polanski, Haneke, Godard, Woody Allen, David Lynch, Truffaut... I watch also many Tv series: Larry David's Curb your enthusiasm, The Sopranos, The Wire, Treme, Seinfeld, Girls...

Music: Bob Dylan, Donovan, The Kinks, Joanna Newsom, The Beatles, Judy Henske, Nick Drake, Tom Waits, Joan Baez, Leonard Cohen... but also right now I'm listening a lot to James Blake, Santigold and Grimes, for instance.

I'm kind of a book worm. Among my favourites, specially northamerican literature: Henry Miller, J.D. Salinger's The catcher in the rye, Walt Whitman's Leaves of grass, Beat generation (Kerouac), Raymond Carver,Philip Roth, Kapucinski, Paul Auster, Truman Capote.
