About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We left Bristol in September with the aim to travel overland to Istanbul where we are flying from to Bali in March. We don't have much money, but we have time, a few skills and a bit of craic.
ABOUT ME
Lucia: I'm the youngest of 6 kids and like having people around. Though, I know that sometimes quiet time is important for me. Generally in to playing and Exploring and having a lovely time.
Brían is the oldest of 4 kids and is up for a laugh. He's really good at teaching and helping people and has a knack with understanding what someone is trying to communicate.
PHILOSOPHY
I've always loved being outside and 'doing stuff'. But I'm getting more in to the idea of stillness and not always facing problems by 'doing' something about them, rather watching the 'problem' as it passes naturally.
I'm planning on being enlightened by 2015.
Bri'an will take a bit longer, maybe 2017.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have never been official members of CS till now. We always lived in a house where someone was a member so we never needed to. Now we are trying to find couches to stay on in Greece...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have had lovely experiences with couchsurfers staying in the houses we have lived in Bristol and Galway. In Galway, it was a natural occurence :)
Interests
Lucia: I'm a trained physical theatre performer and am sometimes a partner acro-balancer and juggler. I'm also trained in basic cabinet-making.
I'm very interested in life without money and the many other strengths such as community which we are forced to reestablish when you can no longer buy things that you have not really earned.
Brían is a trained Geography teacher and used to be a water sports instructor. He still surfs when he gets the chance and has played capoeira for the last 10 years on and off (I have played on and off for half that)..
Together we are interested in meeting people, learning new points of view, becoming more mindful while keeping a sense of humour.. And ultimately sharing with others what we can and growing in the areas that need attention.

Music, Movies, and Books
At the moment we listen to what is on which is (on an organic farm in Sicily) - 1960s American soul.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have lots of theatre/improvisation games up my sleeve. Basic acro-balance. Juggling. Outdoors/scouty survival skills. Basics about using a chisel. Oh, drawing I suppose.
Bri'an: is a really good teacher, so if he knows a little about anything he'll be able to get someone to do it well. Capoeira, surfing or how to look at the water for a long time, chopping wood, anything to do with Geography, how to do the washing-up properly. The list is endless..
