About Me
Hi all
I am Lucie, coming from the French alps. I am mechanical engineering working at CERN as PhD student.
If I am available I would be glad to give back a piece of the hospitality that I have received during my travels. I wish to hear you about your hopes, your dreams and your adventures.

Please note that I CAN'T host you neither Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights as I usually leave my place during the weekends.
XXXXXXXX
I travelled by bike from France to China and Siberia.
In total, I biked 11 months, 16000 km, 24 countries and a lot of fantastic people met in particular thanks to CS. Here some pictures of these trips (https://youtu.be/fD_5amX4MU)
This travel was wonderful, I met so many nice people in particular thanks to CS. I am clearly looking forward to starting a new one!
Nevertheless , this new project will have to wait, starting a PhD project at CERN, I am established in the Geneva region, I can host you in pretty good conditions (large apartment shared with 2 nice roommates (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/simone-callegari) international atmosphere, separate room,...)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Summer 2013: I travelled through Eastern canadian provinces hitchhiking, back-packing with two friends of mine. We met Lawrence in St John, we share a local beer and many funny stories. We also spent two days with Anna and her husband cultivating vegetables, and playing cards and board games: it was my first and succesfull experience in CS.
Automne/Winter 2014: I travelled by bike from France to Jordan, mostly with Mathilde a friend of mine passing by Venise, Dubronvik, Athens, Istanbul, Cyprus, Israel and Kingdom of Jordan... and so many other amazing places!
Spring/Summer 2017: 7 months trip, by bike, between Oman to Baikal lake in Siberia, therefore I crossed Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kirgizstan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and Russia.
In total, I biked 11 months, 16000 km, 24 countries and a lot of fantastic people met in particular thanks to CS.
I think CS community praises the opportunity to meet amazing and inspiring people, to obtain precious local advice, and to hope a shelter for a night...
Interests
I play a lot of sports: team sports and racket sports, I am also fond of endurance sports: I run, I swim, I ski.
I like snow, mountain, and outdoor activities. I believe that pushing my body above its limits makes me tougher and also more respectful and attentive of my environment. I respect my body, I develop the perception of my sensations, I feel connected with my senses and opened to the world.
I am very sporty and quite busy, I am training to prepare some ultra trails and ski touring competitions.
I like my studies and my job as an engineer and PhD student at CERN which make me discover sciences and kindle my curiosity about the world.
