About Me

I'm a 22 year old girl who has just graduated from studying History and Politics at the University of Edinburgh. My main goal now is to travel the world, have fun times and meet nice people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently hitchhiking across Europe with my boyfriend Luke. We have a tent and two sleeping bags but we would also like to couchsurf as much as possible. Partly we are doing this to escape the summer heat but more importantly we want to meet some local people and experience the places we visit through their eyes.

Interests

My favourite things to do include meeting strange people, dancing to good music and travelling to exciting places. I also love to write - so if you let me stay on your couch you may find yourself featured in my bestselling novel and the inevitable film adaptation of my adventures on the road. My list of interests goes on and includes festivals, camping, history, art, culture, talking, drinking, beer, sex, food, sexy food, foody sex etc

Music, Movies, and Books

Whatever I think is cool and more importantly, what other people tell me is cool.
Currently that includes DJ Koze, Four Tet, Caribou, Mr Carmack, Jamie XX, Soom T, Chance the Rapper, Kaytranada, Kolsch, Nosaj Thing, Yung Lean, Roni Size, Maribou State, The Bug, The Skints, Mungo's Hi Fi, Gentlemen's Dub Club, Sbtrkt, Nicolas Jaar and many more. In September this year you will find me volunteering at Outlook festival so if you are heading that way too then let's be friends.
Movies and Books: Two words: Harry Potter.
(just kidding - books are cool but lists of books are boring)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year abroad at the University of Melbourne and with that came many incredible experiences including scuba diving a shipwreck in Bali, bungee jumping in New Zealand and running about the Aussie bush barefoot and covered in acrylic paint at Strawberry Fields festivals.
However the most amazing experiences I've ever had are much more simple and include staying up all night at a hostel in Laos talking shit to people you have just met or spending a gloriously sunny day at a festival in Scotland with the people I love.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you let me and Luke stay on your couch we can only offer moderate cooking skills, moderate cleaning skills and are only open to threesomes if we are very desperate or you are very sexy. However I feel comfortable calling our conversational skills above average and we have many funny stories we like to share when meeting new people. I like to write and Luke writes to draw so if you would like a poem or a picture in exchange for your hospitality then that could also be arranged. In all seriousness however we are two friendly Brits who like to make international friends for life - so if you are kind enough to give us a place to stay we can wholeheartedly promise that you will always have two good friends in whatever city we end up living in once we have finished out travels.
