About Me
Hello everyone.
We are a family of three members, living in the countryside (10mn driving from Bayeux).
My husband Tabari, is a nice and funny guy from Barbados. He left his country 5 years ago to come to live in France with me, he is a sailing instructor and he is speaking both English and French.
Our daughter Maëlia, she is 4 years old. She is first shy when she meet new people but she can quickly become your best friend, sorry but you will have to handle with her as she will want all your attention, loool. She is lovely and smart, she understand English but she is most likely speaking french.
And me Lucie, a 33 years old woman who grew up in Normandy and then mooved to different places in France as i used to be a tour guide. I will always try to find some free time for you to make sure your stay is going well.
We love to meet new people, to hear about new cultures and spread this fantastic experience of couchsurfing.
So far we had wonderful people in our house so we want to continue this way.
No matter if it's a last request or not, as long as we have no plans and we are here, you will be warmly welcome in our house.
We love to discover new recipes (i'm vegetarian but my husband and our daughter are not), we love to hear about the different way of life and folklore.
We love people, we love life, we love to be together.
Hope to meet you soon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First i created this account years ago because i planned to travel, then things turned out to be completely different as I met my husband and we had our daughter, but later on we had a request for people to come in our house, two wonderful young ladies from Germany, and from then we cannot stop it.
Since june 2017 we met so many different cultures in our house, we are willing to meet some more and go to visit them as well whenever we will get a chance !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Before to be an Au Pair in Ireland i didn't know how to swim, the mother call me and asked me if i like swimming, without thinking twice, i said yes, and it wasn't true, when i was told that they choose me to come and spend one year with their family and watch over the kids, I realise i had no choice but learning how to go in the deep pool which i was scared about. Well, i got brave, i bought a ticket for the swimming pool, and jump in the water, finally when i realise my body coming back up to the top, i found out that there is nothing to be scared about! I learned how to swim in one month ! And as i think everything happen for a reason, 6 months later i was in Barbados swimming with the turtle when i met my husband ! ;))
- Changing my life, being positive, open-minding, staying confident, becoming vegetarian, etc.
- Having my daughter is my most beautiful adventure
- Finding love and making sure everyday we working on keeping the passion on
- Hiking in Ireland on my own
- Travelling alone
- Being me, no matter what
