ABOUT US

Hey all dear Couchsurfers out there, here we are, two sisters Lucie and Lenka.
We created this profile a long time ago when we were still at high school and wanted to discover the world.
Well since then lots of things changed but our curiosity and passion to discover new places and mainly to meet new people all around the world remained :D

At that time we decided to create a shared couchsurfing profile because most of the time we travelled together or we hosted our friends together so in the memory of that great time we still have a shared profile even though we travel more on our own.

What we can say about us? A lot ... but to make it short we think or at least our friends say that we are friendly, easy going and open-minded girls who just love spending time in a good company of other people, travelling, discovering new places and different cultures and that is why we are here :-)

LUCIE loves spontaneous trips, kayaking, dancing and spending free time in the nature.
She cares about ecology and also does pro-bono and volunteer work.
Currently does an office job and also works as a guide and organises various events where people can meet.

LENKA loves travelling to not touristy destination, mountain climbing and ride biking,
She found her passion in food industry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A long time ago Lucie was on Erasmus in France where she met plenty of amazing people and she started to travel with them and thus she discovered the spirit of CS.
She shared these experiences with Lenka who immediately fell for CS as well.
This project is unique and at the same time I would say such an easy way to meet people from all over the world.
We both love travelling, meeting people and learning about their life stories and experiences.

Interests

Since our childhood we travelled with our parents. But with that comfortable way of travelling, staying in hotels and visiting various resorts, we felt like we were missing out on experiencing the true spirit of our destinations. Hence, following our introduction to CS, we completely switched to unpredictable, spontaneous, wild travelling just with a backpack or a bike aiming to meet as many amazing people on our travels as possible and to delve into the new cultures we come across.

Our dream is to backpack and hitchhike throughout Europe, randomly meeting new people, seeing where our travels will lead us.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
We are not picky girls so we can listen to anything (except from scrylex). Of course, we like commercial pop music but from time to time it is nice to listen to various classics or instrumentals.

Films:
Lucie is a fan of comedies, adventure and historical movies as well as documentaries. Though she cannot handle horror movie otherwise she won’t fall asleep!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With our parents we introduced a tradition, whereby we would have a guest of a different nationality to spend Christmas with us each year. This way we are able to show our guests our Christmas celebrations as well as sharing with them our traditional Christmas food. In the past four years we’ve hosted girls from Georgia and Russia as well as, most recently, a guy from Australia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to cook traditional Czech food, though well known for being quite greasy is very tasty. I can also teach you about Czech culture and recommend the best places to see in the Czech republic.

We are very eager to discover the different cultures, ways of life and points of view of people from all corners of the world. We would love to see all the big attractions that cities have to offer but would also love to discover new places off the beaten path, the hidden gems.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share with you our travel stories, experiences as well as one or two new recipes. Overall, we intend to spend a good time with you, with a drink in-hand and just talk the time away.
