About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live my life from day to day and earn enough money to put a down payment on a place of my own.

ABOUT ME

I have worked all around Europe over an 8 years period which was great as I managed to get paid great money for working in cool places all around Europe but I consider London as being my only true home.

I have spent the last year working and living in London, which is a very nice change to be able to live and work in this great city, I am now starting a new job which requires me to spend a few days in any given week in Geneva (Switzerland) and the rest of the week in London, which is amazing as I manage to see and experience a totally new world without leaving friends and family and the city I love behind.

I am a very lucky person as I managed to do a lot of cool stuff which I would not have ever managed to do unless I would have travelled, but now I am getting a bit older and need to settle down, its hard finding the balance of travel life and day to day life, hopefully with my new job I have.

PHILOSOPHY

The Truth (number one):
The Truth is Out There (quoted from the X Files).

The Truth (number two):
In my experience, the worst way to get a straight answer is to ask an honest question.

Love:
When you want someone to love you, open your heart. When you want someone obsessed with you... close it.

Facing up to thing:
You can't run from your past, and you can't run from yourself.

Life is full of surprises:
Well, ya can't expect everyone to like ya, and you can't expect everything to work out exactly the way you plan it... because life is full of surprises-you never really know what's around the next corner. But if you do the best you can, and you give 100%, then you can go to sleep with a clear conscience. What you didn't win today, you can always win tomorrow, and, remember, never lose sight of your goals. Because there are some people who are really worth that extra time and effort. And in the end, I believe, if you work hard enough... everyone comes around.

Success:
The key to real success is to take all your fears and put them in a box and lock them away. Of course, not every evil can be tied up in a neat little package, but that's the challenge: to face our own personal darkness and put our demons where they can't hurt us anymore, and to do what we can to make the world... a better place.

Failure:
Failure... it's a much better teacher than success. My failure was in underestimating my competition, which was far more complex and dangerous than I had suspected. I'll know better next time.

The future vs the past:
Know when to let go of what was and be certain that your focus is always on the moment and that your plans only concern the future, not the past.

Security:
It doesn't exist in nature. no animal is so arrogant as to ever feel completely safe, only humans believe they can find assured well-being through design... and technology. Some even believe it with a vengeance.

Things that really matter:
When the smoke clears and you get right down to it, only four things really matter: your faith, your fortitude, your friends and your family.

GOOD NIGHT!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not been active on this site for about a year now as I was not travelling and did not have the facilities to host as the place I lived in was not suitable, but as this goes and life changes it is now time to start giving back to this amazing site, so all I can say is: come along, your more then welcome, my couch is free and ready to be used by a needy couchsurfer, I have used couchsurfing on my travels and have hosted several many times in the past and look forward to host once again.

Like it has been mentioned like a thousand times before on this website, this site is not only a free hostel for when you travel, it is about getting to know the local people in the places you travel to, so please take the time to read my profile as I will surely be reading yours, please mention "Ma Nismah" in the wording of your request which means "how are you doing” in Hebrew.

And do me a favour if I hosted you badly please leave a negative reference on my profile but if I did not bite you or wake you up at night by kicking you in the head (normally I do not do these kinds of things unless asked) then leave some kind of reference even if it is just a few lines as this is one of the ideas of this great site and like this people know what kind of host I am, in fact I do expect you to leave me a reference and I do not think that is too much to ask as I am hosting you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and have been hosted many times now and most the people I have meet so far have been really great except for a few odd people but like with everything you can not expect everything to be as you would like it, and unfortunately not everyone knows what the true meaning of this site is or how to act.

The site itself is well thought through and is really easy to use (although lately there seems to be a lot of bugs on the site) and I think it is the best way to travel as you meet the local people and meet a lot of really welcoming people.

Interests

Films - there was a time that I would watch loads of films, have not had that much time in the last year to watch many films, besides most the stuff nowa days seems to be Hollywood violent movies or honey dripping of the screen dribble crap which you know what the end of the movie will be already after seeing 5 minutes of the film..

Films I enjoyed in my day were, ladyhawk, birdy, seven, Schindler list, the bride of chucky, leaving las vages, nice movie I have just seen was "burn after reading" and a British low budget film called the blue tower.

Mini series I liked: the shield, , profit, six feet under, lucky, x files, mission impossible (the old ones from the 60's) and one I have just got into: dark angel.

Comedies: Little Britain probably top them all, normally anything British is funny and good.

Music – what can I say; living in the UK has given me a taste for British music, in the likes of Suede, mpeople, tears for fears, Kings of Leon, Dido Linkin Park ect. but if it sounds good I am always up to hearing new stuff, not to big fun of falk, country, rap and r and b, in my free time or when ever I get the chance I go to gig or music concert, I have around the 400 gb worth of music at home which is quite a lot.

Travelling: I have been lucky enough to have moved around quite with my job so I have lived in quite a few countries and have not only seen places in the eyes of a tourist but have got to see the way of living as well but by saying that I have only seen western and northern Europe, I would love to see eastern Europe a bit more and the far east, there is a saying which says that life (or this world) is like a book and your country is like the first page, if you travel you can see the other pages in the book.

Friends and family going through this life without my family and friends would be unimaginable, I love hanging out with chilled out down to earth people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Last book I probably read was the thorn birds; when I live in London I would read the Metro (the free daily newspaper) and it better then any book you can buy in the shope, real life and true news is like that most of the times, the last CD I brought and really liked was Minutes to Midnight by Linkin Park, besides a lerge selection of CDs back home I have like 400 GB of MP3 Music (back in the UK) so if you come over I guess you would find at least one or two things you like in my music selection.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived in Finland for 6 months and that was something really special, I really recomend it (not necessary living in Finland but going there for a visit is a must).

Have served 3 Years in the Israeli army, amongst the things I did was serving time with a group of "Hesdernikim" or Yasiva boys (if you are Jewish you know what I mean) and the level of personal kindness and social awareness amoungst them is something which is very hard to find elsewhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

Take it easy and do not let things get you down as life is hard enough as it is and life is too short to think about the bad stuff or things which have gone wrong, do not put yourself down as there are enogh people to do that for you, fucos on what you have and use it to improve yourself and always help others.
