Présentation
À propos de moi
Hi !
We’re Lucille and Kilian, a Franco-Swiss duo eager to meet kind souls.
Kilian is a researcher in urban ecology, passionate about imagining cities where humans and non-humans can thrive together. He is also a proud nerd who loves role-playing games (including live-action ones), board games, video games and of course Legos. Lucille is a graphic designer who loves arts and crafts, dancing (currently learning house and a bit of belly dance), and DJing (disco, house, pop, always warm and feel-good songs).
They also happen to enjoy speaking about themselves in the third person :D
We are happiest when tasting local beers, cycling through cities, wandering until we stumble on something fun (usually within 2 minutes), exploring art or natural history museums, discovering someone's favorite spot in a city, checking out local fairs, markets and supermarkets, cooking with fresh ingredients, finding live music, thrift shopping, and greeting every cat we meet.
We are conscious of the many privileges we carry on this planet and try to stay humble and keep learning every day. We love deep conversations on social justice, feminism, anti-capitalism, ecological issues, urbanism, decolonial perspectives, queer and gender issues, rights and ways to live more sustainably. We love discovering other people’s perspectives, listening to their lived experiences, and exchanging cultural, artistic recommendations. We aim to approach these discussions with openness, humility, and curiosity, always eager to challenge our assumptions and grow.
Our Couchsurfing stays sometimes start with the idea of staying only a few days and turn into longer visits when the connection feels right with our host. We always travel with respect, kindness and curiosity, and we try to create spaces where people feel comfortable, appreciated and free to be themselves.
🍁 This October we will be in Ontario and Quebec for 5(!!!) weeks. First a van road trip, then visiting family in Montreal and exploring Toronto (and celebrating Halloween). We would love to learn more about Canada, its history, cultures, challenges and strengths while meeting new people along the way.
We cherish spontaneity, local discoveries and life’s little joys such as sharing a meal, going for a spontaneous walk, or simply enjoying genuine and simple moments with new friends ❤️
