About Me

I grew up in France and am about to move to London. I decided to work for a year to gain maturity and experience before starting college.
I worked in a non destructive start up in San Francisco. I enjoyed working with a goal (and not study for knowledge) as well as getting credit for my accomplishments and interacting with adults.

I enjoy reading, listening to music and meeting new people. I particularly appreciate live music and spending time in the nature.
I love cooking for people even if the results are often unexpected.

I dance on the beach, spend time in the forest listening to birds with a poetry book and walk in the cities at night.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am curious about everything and meeting new people as I travel is an incredible way to discover unexpected topics. I love listening to people. Seeing a spark in a person's eyes when they talk about what their passions makes me want to learn more. I am not only looking for hosts, I am looking for exciting new people to discuss with and have fun with.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorites books are

-The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss: I love how a complex new world is depicted and how deep the characters's personalities are. It is the only book I could describe as colorful.

-Vernon Subutex by Virginie Despentes. It is a trilogy set in Paris. I love how it talks about our society. Not about the futur, not about ten-years-ago-society but about today: the world I live in, the Paris I know with its difficulties and its beauty.

-a french poetry corpus: Capitale de la douleur by Paul Eluard. Those poems make me fall in love with a woman I don't even know.

My favorite music is the music made by life: heartbeats, screams, tears, water, birds...
However I also enjoy listening to "common music"I love Jazz music. It makes me feel calm inside. Especially the jazzy-middle eastern music created by Avishai Cohen.
Music is for me a way to get in touch with people by playing it (I play the flute and the cello). It is also a vector of energy when it is played in festivals. I love to feel the crowd cheering and singing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For my last night in San Francisco, I walked in the cold wind all the way to and through the golden gate bridge. I made it there for 5am and watched the sun rising above the bridge and the skyline from the other side of the bridge.

Teach, Learn, Share

hmm I'm not sure what I'm suppose to write here so I'm just gonna quote something written on the walls of my favorite Parisian bookstore: “Be Not Inhospitable To Strangers Lest They Be Angels In Disguise”

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can play music if I have an instrument. I can lend you my ears to listen to your story. I can also tell you about mine. I also give platonic hugs and can try to cook food.

I can help you learn/practice french and would be thrilled to have interesting discussions about whatever you're passionate about!!
