About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is all about adventures. I want to live them.

ABOUT ME

My name is Lucinda, but most people call me Luci.
Since graduating university I have been trying to work my way across the world to meet lots of new people, see new places and experience new cultures. So far I have traveled and worked in Iceland and Canada, in summer 2014 I went to the USA and Canada for the first time ever and I met some lovely people from Couchsurfing there.
When I lived in Málaga, in the south of Spain, I had a couple of couchsurfers but now I'm back in the UK.
Currently, I live in Swansea where I work as a teacher and I live with my really good friend (that I have also couchsurfed with), Hannah.

PHILOSOPHY

Say yes more.

Also - a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm happy to meet up for a drink or go exploring somewhere. I love a good adventure!
Would consider letting you stay here and viewing the delights of South Wales.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a couple of people and I've surfed a couple of times. I'd love to do it a bit more though :)

Interests

Travelling! Swimming, playing ultimate frisbee, scouting, going out, sitting in the sunshine, going hiking, making friends, hanging out, trying new things, anything fun. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I think my favourite book is Yes Man by Danny Wallace.
I always like a good book recommendation.
I'm quite open for any music genre or artist. I really like finding new music, especially from the places that I travel to so I can associate the music to the places I've been to and the experiences I've had.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping for two weeks in Switzerland. Getting to the tops of the mountains, looking out and just thinking 'WOW'
Hitchhiking to Germany and back
Working summer 2014 at a summer camp near Montreal
Moving to Iceland for 4 months because I felt like it at the time
Living in the south of Spain and more or less learning Spanish

Teach, Learn, Share

I love people with awesome travel stories and experiences.

I'm keen to learn how to cook really tasty dinners, I have a limited repertoire and being able to cook really well would be great!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A warm welcome and an English insight into the South of Wales.
