About Me

Hello,

I'm an explorer trying to cram in as much experience into my life before, well, you know, inevitable demise.

I've been travelling around South East Asia for 4 months and had the most incredible adventures of my life. I have met people who will change me forever and I have kept in touch with most of them and hope to remain friends through the awesome power of social media.

I've recently completed a 3000km motorbike tour of Northern Vietnam and seen things that I will be eternally grateful for having laid eyes on. I'm now biking from Hanoi to Saigon which will clock up a total of 7000+km through Vietnam.

I'll then be heading through Cambodia and just before Christmas will head to Melbourne wherein I'm going to find a job and live for a year in Australia.

Ultimately I'm an artist. I illustrate, I play music (Guitar and Ukulele mostly but I'm happy with a couple of chopsticks and a good table), and I write. I'm not a blogger, more of a poet really. Not published, this is all for me.

If you enjoy deep discussions about life, I'm your girl. I've thought just about every thought I can think and no subject is off limits. I can also be very aimiable and discuss the weather if that's more preferable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to open a network of friends in Melbourne as I only know one person there. I also need a chance to get on my feet before I find a job and can afford my own accommodation.

My plan is to then buy a bicycle and do a tour of the East coast.

I am also looking to go one step further (after Oz) and do a bicycle tour of America, taking a tent, a Ukulele and a child-like sense of wonder.

I am on a tight budget and so any time I can't camp I would like to have the pleasure of meeting new people by crashing in their pads!

I will pay in drawings and songs.

Music, Movies, and Books

American Gods, Terry Pratchett's Discworld Novels, The Wizard of Oz, Musicals, Waking Life, Blade Runner, Star Wars, Arrested Development, Whose Line Is It Anyway, National Geographic, Animal Collective, Sufjan Stevens, Jimmy Cliff, Boards of Canada, Snarky Puppy, Paolo Coehlo, George Orwell, Gaia Theory by James Lovelock

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left my job and home to travel solo around the world. Booked a one-way flight to Bangkok and three nights in a hostel and went from there.

Also, motorbiking around Northern Vietnam

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy discussing things - anything. I like to hear people's opinions on matters wherein there can be no conclusion drawn.

I love to learn new songs on the Ukulele and to play and sing with people - the more the merrier.

I've learned that I grow faster when challenged further and so I'm looking to challenge myself as much as I can right now.

I'm learning to go with the flow of life and listen to my instinct instead of doing the thing that is possibly more sensible. You don't get any good stories out of taking the easy road.

I've learned that I'm incredibly strong person and that I can do mostly anything or at least I can try.

I've also learned that I'm slightly claustrophobic which is something I want to overcome.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a new perspective on life and hopefully receive one back.

I can share my taste in music if that's interesting to them.

Perhaps a conversation about life, death and everything in between.

I can share a piece of art.

France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam
